Ajay Devgn breaks the silence on OTT VS Cinema Halls debate: “Theatres are going to make a comeback in a big way”

Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj – The Pride of India is just a few days away, and the actor-filmmaker has been busy as a bee in promoting it. The actor talked extensively about his period war drama while interacting with the media. During that conversation, he spoke candidly about theatrical release vs. OTT. Here’s what he had to share about it.
Many films, both Indian and foreign, chose to release digitally instead of waiting for cinema halls to reopen after COVID-19 closed them down across India. Even Ajay’s next film, Bhuj, is being released digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. What does he think of the OTT market? He believes that it provides a balance for the industry. You can read all that he said here.
The actor from Bhuj continued to discuss the balance between films headed to cinemas and films in OTT. It’s similar to eating food. You can’t eat outside seven days a week, but you can go after four days Sharpe to khana ba Banega hi pih AAP restaurant Kyu jateho Ya magnate kyu ho.” The actor said that while people have “home food,” they still enjoy eating outside food. He added, “AAP 3-4 din OTT pe dhekha pe phir once or twice per week, you must go out and experience a big screen. It’s as simple as that.
Ajay Devgn spoke out about the impact of a film being released digitally on earnings. It did not affect business; I wouldn’t say so. It’s great that digital films are being released, given the circumstances. You want the maximum number of people to view a film when you create it. OTT is a great platform. While I don’t think all films should be released here, I believe it will balance the future. Theatres will make a huge comeback, and there will be balance. We are releasing 150-200 films every year, and people are fighting for a release date. Because there are three to four films that are releasing simultaneously, people made their films. There are no theatres. It will be a nice balance to either go on OTT or theatrically, as long as people view it.
Ajay Devgn stars alongside Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kulkar, Ammy Virk, Ammy Virk, Ammy Virk, Ammy Vikirk, Sharad Kelkar, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Ammy Virk, and many others. Bhuj: Pride of India will be available on Disney+ Hotstar tomorrow, Friday, August 13. Abhishek Dhaiya directed the period war film. It tells the story of Vijay Karnik (IAF Squadron Leader), his team, and around 300 women from Madhapar, who reconstructed the IAF base overnight to support India’s fight against Pakistan.
