Ajay Devgn Gets Candid About Box Office Numbers, The Number Of Films Releasing On OTT & In Cinemas, Bhuj & More

Ajay Devgn is ready for the release of his period film, Bhuj: The Pride of India. The film will be available on Disnye+ Hotstar tomorrow. Ajay Devgn is currently on a promotional tour and spoke to the media today. Ajay was recently asked about box-office numbers released traditionally (aka in theatres) and how they impact him.
We also asked him about the OTT market and if Bhuj would be releasing a theatrical film in open cinemas in the country. You can read on to find out all that he said while answering the questions.

Ajay Devgn opened up about box office results during a chat with selected media houses. The actor shared his thoughts on the race for box office numbers and said: “What b*llshit!” It was created. It was always there.” He said that box office numbers have never affected him and that he didn’t think so. It has never bothered me, I have never given interviews (about) it, and I have never spoken about it. It’s not something I fear.

Ajay Devgn was asked if he likes the OTT platform – since there is no number game, he said it has allowed for the “good talent to come in.” When asked if Bhuj would be released in cinemas after the cinema halls open in the country, Ajay replied “no” and said, “once it’s on OTT, it’s too soon.”

The Ajay Devgn starrer, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha, and Nora Fatehi and Sharad Kelkar. It will be released on Disney+ Hotstar Friday, August 13.
